If you're tracking employee costs or generating payroll reports you may want to deduct unpaid breaks from your employee's shifts. Rather than splitting the shift into two parts or deducting the break manually, it's easy to let Findmyshift deduct the time spent on a break for you.
To add a break to a shift all that you're required to do is add a special comment called an "unpaid break" beneath the shift. An unpaid break is a comment written in the format: "1 hour break". It can be any amount of time you like, such as "1.5 hours" or "90 minutes" but it must be followed with the word break.
Unpaid breaks can also be used in combination with pay rate adjustments. So if you've already added a pay rate adjustment beneath your shift, you can place the unpaid break above or below the pay rate adjustment.
